Ubuntu is a computer operating system based on the Debian distribution and distributed as free and open source software. It is named after the Southern African philosophy of Ubuntu ("humanity towards others").[1] Ubuntu is designed primarily for use on personal computers, although a server edition also exists.
Ubuntu is sponsored by the UK-based company Canonical Ltd.

Installation
LIO Unified Target has been the default block storage target from Ubuntu Precise Pangolin (version 12), released on 4/2/2012. The user space shell targetcli can be installed as follows:
su -c 'apt-get install targetcli'
